Muskox/Arctic Wolf Hunts

Nunavut Muskox/Arctic Wolf Hunt

The hunt takes place in Nunavut near the Thelon Game Reserve. I am now taking bookings for late April which is about 20 degrees warmer than the March hunt.  We boast a high success rate at 100% on Muskox with about 50% of our bulls exceeding B&C Minimums! Our Arctic wolf hunt runs at an incredible 75% success rate!!! For any hunter really wanting a wolf or has hunted wolf before you will know that a 75% success rate for these elusive animals is incredible! Mature arctic wolves will weigh around the 120 pound mark and can come in a variety of colours from a near white to solid black.
Hunts take place out of a northern community where you will stay in comfortable lodging at a local hotel, where you will be served hot meals, enjoy hot showers after the days hunt, and kick back and watch satellite TV in the evenings, this is generally not associated with many Muskox hunts. Each day you will leave town on your own snowmobile heading in whatever direction the highest concentration of muskox are found giving the hunter the best opportunity to harvest a trophy bull or wolf.
An Arctic hunt is rated as a very rare and special hunt that not many hunters get the chance to experience. There are spots for only 8 hunters per year. The Muskox herd here is very healthy, the local Inuit people have been hunting these herds for hundreds of years and will be guiding you on this hunt.

Muskox and wolves both make unique trophies that not many hunters have. Muskox meat is also quite good similar to caribou in my opinion.

The Barren Ground Muskox/Arctic Wolf hunt is all inclusive from Winnipeg and includes:

  • Airfare from Winnipeg to Baker Lake and return

  • All meals during hunt
  • Muskox license, trophy fee, and HTO fees
  • Wolf license
  • Small game hunting

Northwest Territory Muskox Hunt

If you are looking for A trophy Muskox hunt in some of the most beautiful countryside, and don't want to weather the harsh conditions of Canada's extreme arctic this is the hunt for you! This is a 7 day hunt August 22-29th, this time of year is great for hunting because it is the Muskox rut! Therefore locating the dominant bull is made that much easier because he will have a herd of cows giving away his location! This time of year temperatures are mild and there are little to no bugs, ideal hunting conditions!
We boast a 100% success rate on our muskox hunts and a large majority of our bulls are B&C class. The lodge will ensure your stay is very comfortable, as its main use is a world class lake trout fishing lodge. You will be provided with your own cabin with all amenities, meals and entertainment will be served in the main lodge.
